About Maritime Security - Ports
Ports and harbours generally form a complex layout of inter-connected industrial facilities and high-value infrastructure.
Forefront Security provides on-site patrols for all Port operations and facilities. We have specialist personnel who are thoroughly familiar with the nature of Port operations, including what to expect and more importantly what looks out of the ordinary and should be more closely investigated.
All Forefront security staff, including the current Port Team, have successfully completed CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations (Security Officer and Crowd Controller) or its successor. They also hold a WA Police-issued Security Officer license as required by the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996.
Our port security team as well as our director hold Security Officer's licenses and hold a valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). Our Security Officers undertake duties as Maritime Security Guards as per the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003.
Private Moorings
Privately owned recreational boats often represent a very substantial investment by thier owners. In addition to the cost of the vessel itself, expensive navigation, communication and other onboard technologies are high-value targets for thieves. Considering that many recreational vessels are unattended for extended periods, our Maritime Patrols can offer great peace of mind for individual boat owners. The cost can often be shared with owners of vessels in adjacent pens.
